This print brings together all
the main themes concerning our only natural
satellite, the Moon. Featuring the most recent
lunar knowledge -- from early formation to its
present state -- this invaluable reference and
pictorial representation will provide a deeper
understanding of an extraordinary world. The
print offers the observer an easy and accessible
reference to some of the most interesting
aspects about the Moon, and a resource of data
and information not generally found elsewhere. A
vast range of physical and geological features
not found in other lunar prints is also
included, and a Moon map showing some of the
main features on the lunar surface finalises the
print. Interest in the Moon by the astronomy
reader is increasing every day; this print, and
associated website's aim, will, hopefully, serve
in part your lunar needs. Topics covered in
the poster include, for example: Moonquakes (the
four types); Libration (the three main effects);
craters and their dynamics (types, formation of,
and impact-size relationships); geology (rock
units, ages, systems, locations); origin
(the four most popular theories); moon
resources...and a lot, lot more.

The globes show all the main craters,
maria, mountains and features on both the Nearside and
Farside of the Moon. Also included are the Apollo
landing sites, and the locations of several other crafts
that have touched down or crashed on the moon's surface.
The best thing about these globes is that they allow you
a better perspective of the Moon as a whole. These globes
will let you see how features tie into the landscape,
how areas of enormous proportions relate to each other,
and how the Farside of the Moon looks extraordinarily
different to the Nearside. The end-products have a
professional finish to them, they are quite sturdy depending on
paper/card used, and full instructions are included to
construct the globes. Observatories and science
institutes may be interested in using the globes as an
educational tool, while teachers wanting to enthuse
students towards learning about the Moon will benefit
too. Each prints from ordinary home/office
printers at 300 dpi onto European & USA paper formats,
as well as onto card or photographic-standard papers.
Available on CD as JPEG images.
